Pintxos: the pleasure principle

The sights, sounds and smells of old San Sebastian, on the northern coast of Spain, combine to create one of the most life-affirming experiences any food lover could hope for. The energy is palpable.

Rustico’s 2025 Pintxos Party aims to capture the energy, and earthy pleasure of great coastal Spanish food and drinking, but in our own special, super-relaxed South-Western style. 

As head chef Mike McAllister puts it: “Sharing a meal and a story in many bites and flavours.”

Does Rústico aim to slavishly copy the unique bars of Basque Spain? Of course not. But will we be delivering that same unabashed pleasure of Iberian food, wine and conviviality?
